The first 2 weeks

Winnie loves her new baby sister so much!!!

We have officially been home for 2 weeks! Our world has completely changed, I’m not sure we even remember life before Kennedy and I’m ok with that!

I’m not planning on doing an official birth story post, so long story short... I was in labor for 17 hours only to end up having a c section under general anesthesia. It was an intense and long day but everyone ended up happy and healthy and that’s all we could have asked for!

Our first two weeks home have definitely been sleep deprived but so so wonderful at the same time. We had no idea how much we could love someone <3  Our days consist of hanging out in our jammies and snuggling on the couch (and taking lots of selfies to send to Chad while he’s at work!)  I’m finally cleared to drive so hopefully we will start to adventure out soon (I’m thinking a Starbucks run might be our first mommy daughter date)

This is definitely our best adventure yet and we can’t wait to watch our little Kennedy grow <3

Packing my Hospital Bag

We are getting closer and closer to meeting Baby Girl! The time has come to pack our bags and get prepared for our hospital trip (I can't hardly believe it!!!). I’ve read post after post on what to bring to the hospital and I feel confident that I’m pretty prepared as a first time mom. I’ve done my best to pack cozy layers as hospitals are notoriously chilly!

I’ll link my new hosptial essentials below:

1: cozy jammies
I have always been a fan of Victoria Secret pajama sets but this blush pink set from Nordstrom is the softest pair I’ve ever come across! I think I’ve started a new addiction! I ordered a size up to make sure they are super comfortable after little girl makes her debut. My mom ordered the paisley set for me and I love the clean crisp feel of the fabric! They are also shorts instead of full pants which is definitely important in this Alabama heat!

2: postpartum undies
These postpartum panties have been popping up all over my instangam recently and I had to try them! The purple color is really pretty and the lace makes them feel special and not so blah.

3: nursing tanks
After lots of searching, I found the softest nursing tanks! I got them in an assortment of neutrals because I have a feeling I will be wearing them quite often and I want them to match everything!! Here is the link for the striped one, they have a few other colors that I'm sure I'll be stocking up on in the near future!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you all have a great Friday!!

Bubble Gum Pink

How super cute is this blush pink dress? I have always been a pink kind of girl, but now that I’m carrying Baby Girl I feel the need to wear extra amounts of pink! I wasn’t sure about this maxi at first because it is very long in the front but I know that as my bump grows it will get only shorter and shorter!

The fact that this dress is a solid color and pretty basic silhouette gives me lots of room to play with accessories! While I piled on the gold for this look,  I can easily see myself wearing it with a fun printed scarf or even my favorite green utility vest. I’m also looking forward to pairing it with a bright pink lipstick for an even more pink look :)

The double tassel necklace is one of my very favorite pieces of jewelry and I have reached for it over and over (possibly too often!) over the last few years. It’s a little on the expensive side for “costume jewelry” but I feel like it really gets a return on the investment with how often I wear it! (** also Kendra Scott gives you half off one item during your birth month which is when I got mine!)

Thanks so much for stopping by! I can’t wait to share the rest of my Swanky Stork finds!
